About the Library
Welcome to the OJRHS
Library Media Center
Students are encouraged to use the the library for independent research, individual study, quiet group and work or reading during study halls, or before and after the school day.
The High School Library is open from 7:00 - 3:30 Monday through Friday.
Upon entering the library, students should leave their bookbags behind the security gate. They should sign in at the circulation using their student ID.
Students coming from study hall or class must have a pass. The library staff reserves the right to limit a student’s use of the library media center during study hall(s). Remember, it is a privilege to report to the library media center during study halls.
Computers are available for student use in the library. Computers may be used for school-related needs. Games are prohibited.
All materials must be checked out at the circulation desk. Books from the general fiction and biography collection are circulated for four weeks. Books from the non-fiction section are circulated for two weeks. Overdue fines are $.10 per school day. Students will be held responsible for the cost of lost or damaged books or other materials.
All audiovisual materials, periodicals, pamphlets, reference books, and books on reserve may be checked out at the end of the school day for overnight use only. The material must be returned before the start of the next school day. Overdue fines for these materials are $.25 per school day. Students will be held responsible for the cost of lost or damaged books or other materials.
Please return all materials to the book drop located at the circulation desk inside the library.
